Two online programs at California University of Pennsylvania have been ranked among the best in the nation for educational quality and value.
- Cal U’s online master’s degree program in English as a second language (ESL) was ranked No. 9 nationwide by Great Value Colleges (www.greatvaluecolleges.net). The organization develops its rankings based on “tuition value, student- to-faculty ratio, national recognition for educational excellence, and discounted tuition for online students.”
Cal U offers online programs for certified teachers who wish to earn a master’s degree in ESL only, or who are seeking a Pennsylvania teaching certificate in addition to the master’s degree. A certificate program in ESL also is available.
The online ESL graduate programs at Cal U are aligned with Pennsylvania Department of Education ESL Program Specialist standards and Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) standards.
- Cal U’s online RN-to-BSN nursing degree program has been ranked among the top values nationwide by Best Value Schools (www.bestvalueschools.com) based on accreditation and affordability.
The RN-to-BSN program at Cal U ranks No. 37 nationwide, based on criteria that include not only the average cost of attendance, but also the number of undergraduates enrolled, the length of the program’s accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the University’s commitment to online health education.
Cal U’s RN-to-BSN degree program is designed for registered nurses who already have completed a diploma or associate degree in nursing. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree – required by a growing number of healthcare employers – offers a solid foundation in the arts and sciences that prepares students for career advancement and further education.
