California University of Pennsylvania will hold a rededication ceremony for Coover Hall at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The former industrial arts building, constructed in 1938, has undergone a two-year, $11 million renovation, with an additional $1.1 million for built-in furnishings. The project was funded through the state Department of General Services,
Renovations expanded the building by 4,200 square feet, updated utilities and added state-of-the-art technology. Take a look!
Coover Hall reopened for classes this fall. It houses the Department of Applied Engineering Technology, as well as classes in art and graphic design. Specialized areas include:
- Automated Controls Lab
- Fluids Lab
- Heavy Fabrication Lab
- Physical Technologies Lab
- Jewelry/Metals Studio
- Printmaking Studio
- STEM/Clean Prototyping Lab
- Strength and Materials Lab
