California University of Pennsylvania senior Jae'Len Means will be competing at the 2019 NCAA Division II Championships on May 24-25 at Javelina
Stadium in Kingsville, Texas.

Means is seeded 22nd overall in a field of 24 entries and will compete in the second heat of the preliminaries at 6:50 p.m. EDT Friday, May 24. The top-two times from each preliminary heat, plus the next two-best times, advance to the finals at 8:55 p.m. EDT Saturday, May 25.
He broke the all-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference record in the 200 meters
at Duke this spring with a blistering time of 21.01 seconds, eclipsing the previous
league mark held since 1991 by one-hundredth of a second. Two weeks ago, Means repeated
as the league champion in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash to finish his
career with 10 conference titles (eight individual).
A 5-foot-9 senior, Means has earned NCAA All-America status in the 200 meters at both
the 2017 and 2019 indoor championships. This winter, he broke his own school record
in the preliminaries with a time of 21.33 seconds before placing fifth in the finals
with a time of 21.34 seconds. Means competed in both 100 and 200 meters at the outdoor
national meet in 2018.
