California University of Pennsylvania presents Strand: Interpretations of the Necklace, by the Allegheny Metals Collective, March 21-April 8 in the third-floor gallery of Manderino Library.

An opening reception will be held 6-8 p.m. March 21 at the gallery. 

Jim Bove, associate professor of art and design at Cal U and a member of the collective, juried the exhibit. He selected works that demonstrated creativity and craftsmanship and promoted the concept of wearable art and design. 

The Allegheny Metals Collective is a group of artists that organize workshops, lectures and critiques to support jewelry and metal arts. It is a resource for students before and after graduation. Membership is free. 

Admission to Strand is free, and the public is welcome. Visit library.calu.edu/hours for gallery hours.
