Pottery Sale, Art Exhibition Set

The pottery sale will be Dec. 4-5 in the Ceramics Studio, while student artwork will be on display in Vulcan Hall through the end of finals.

Pottery Sale

The annual holiday student pottery sale will be held from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Dec. 4, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the Ceramics Studio, near Vulcan Hall.

Members of the Student Pottery Association create all the handmade wares, including mugs, bowls, pitchers, jars and vases of all sizes.

The two-day event is open to the public, and complimentary refreshments will be served.

“This showcases the quality work of our students, and they take considerable pride in this,” said Richard “Duke” Miecznikowski, professor in Cal U’s Department of Art and Languages.

Art Exhibition

An opening reception for Visual Nirvana, an exhibition of student art on display in the Vulcan Hall Painting and Drawing studios, will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 5.

Homemade food, baked goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, and other holiday treats will be served at the reception, which is hosted by Cal U printmaking students.

The drawing, print, and painting exhibitions in Vulcan Hall will be on display from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 13.
