Residence Halls Ranked

Niche, an online provider of educational rankings and information, ranks California University of Pennsylvania’s on-campus housing No. 8 in the nation.

The residence halls at California University of Pennsylvania have been ranked No. 8 in the United States by Niche, an online provider of rankings and recommendations that help students and families with the college enrollment process.

In the “2022 Best College Dorms in America,” Cal U’s five on-campus residence halls were ranked based on key statistics — average housing cost, housing capacity and safety — as well as student reviews.

“We take pride in keeping our residence halls well maintained,” said Becky Barnhart, associate director of residence life. “Our spacious residence hall rooms provide a space to foster both academic and student success.”

Cal U residence halls are secure, with controlled entry and security cameras; private bathrooms; wings devoted to students who share common interests; and proximity to a campus recreation center.

“The residence halls offer a variety of rooms for students to choose from,” added Brittany Brommer, a community assistant and criminal justice major. “No matter the configuration they choose, students will have the opportunity to feel at home during their time at Cal U.”
