Karen and Tom Rutledge (center), who established the Karen and Tom Rutledge Institute for Early Childhood Education at Cal U in 2018, met with Rutledge scholars on Oct. 13 at SAI Farm. The institute enrolls up to 10 highly qualified students each year to attend Cal U tuition-free as Rutledge scholars, based on a rigorous set of academic and nonacademic qualifications.
