Apply to Present at the
2018 National Conference on Undergraduate Research

Abstracts for the 2018 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR 2017) are due on Tuesday, Dec. 5.  NCUR is the premiere interdisciplinary conference for presenting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity.  The conference will be held April 4-7 2018 at University of Central Oklahoma and Cal U’s Center for Undergraduate Research has funds to support student travel to present at NCUR 2018.

There are four ways to participate in the conference.  Each brief description below includes a link to the NCUR 2018 website that gives additional information.

Oral Presentations

These are conventional academic presentations that are 15 minutes in length and can be from any academic discipline.

Poster Sessions

These sessions are opportunities for presenting your research in an interactive environment with your poster as a visual aid.

Performing Arts Presentations

These are opportunities for musicians, dancers, and actors to perform and this category also includes film/video.

Visual Arts Submissions

This is an opportunity for artists in any visual medium to show their work during the conference.  Cal U will cover costs to ship artwork to and from the conference if your work is accepted.

Submitting an Abstract

If you plan to submit an abstract you must have a faculty mentor and you must contact Dr. Gregg Gould ( or X5451), so the Center for Undergraduate Research is aware of your interest in participating in NCUR 2018.  Further details on the conference and the abstract submission portal can be found here:
The guidelines for submitting an abstract are found here:

Note that Honors Program students who wish to participate in NCUR 2018 should already be working with Dr. Aune.
