SUICIDE INTERVENTION TRAINING 2-day certified training at a special rate made possible through Cal U of PA trained ASIST facilitators A two-day interactive workshop teaching participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and how to work with them to create a plan that will support their safety. Guided by two Living Works registered trainers A scientifically proven intervention model Powerful audio-visual learning aids and training materials Group discussions and skills practice opportunities By completing the workshop, participants will be able to: Discuss suicide with a person at risk in a direct manner; Identify risk alerts and develop a safe plan related to them; Demonstrate the skills required to intervene with a person at risk of suicide; Recognize that suicide prevention is broader than suicide intervention and, includes life promotion and self-care for persons at risk and for caregivers WHEN: Monday, March 12 & Tuesday, March 13, 2018 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM WHERE: Natali Student Center, Room 206-207, California University of Pennsylvania SPECIAL COST: $75.00 per person for a 2-day training!
