On the morning of February 3, 2018, a California University student, Kristin D’Amico, and her boyfriend, Travis Corso, awoke to the sound of smoke detectors going off in their rented home in Greensboro, PA. Unfortunately, Kristin and Travis did not have renter’s insurance. The house was destroyed along with all their worldly possessions.

Kristin is the mother of a 12-year son, Dominick, who fortunately was not home at the time of the fire.  Kristin is also in her last semester at CalU majoring in Sociology and hopes to graduate in May.

Items needed to help Kristin and her family get back on their feet:

household /kitchen items
boy’s x-large clothes/adult small
women’s small clothes
women’s shoes/boots 7-8
men’s 34x34 pants
men’s Large or x-large shirts

Donations can be brought to Center for Volunteer Programs and Service Learning in Natali Student Center room 119. Questions can be directed to 724-938-4793 or volunteer@calu.edu.
