Working With Our Most Difficult Emotions

When:  This 3-part workshop will be held on Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on March 22, March 29, and April 5

What:  All of us have experienced painful emotions like anxiety and depression.  Sometimes they pass by quickly and easily.  Other times they linger and, despite our best efforts, begin to take root.  This workshop focuses on methods that therapists use to help clients avoid needless emotional suffering.  As a participant, you will be asked to become a scientist of your own emotions.  You will be taught a variety of ways to break the cycle of pain, and will be guided through exercises to observe what works for you.

This is a skills-based workshop, not a therapy or support group.

Who:  Open to Cal U students (admission is free).  Presenters will be Dawn Moeller, Ph.D. (Counseling Center) and Shauna Zupan (Cal U graduate student in the Department of Counselor Education and Cal U Counseling Center intern).

Where:  Location will be announced to those pre-enrolled.

How:  If you are interested, you must pre-register by March 20th by emailing Dawn Moeller at moeller@calu.edu, or calling 724-938-4056 to leave a message.  (Note that email is not a completely confidential form of correspondence).   Please bring a pen.
