Fall 2018 & Spring 2019 Internship

 

The Center for Volunteer Programs and Service Learning is looking for an intern to manage our Good Eats program. We are looking for a student who would be interested in stay with us for the entirety of the academic year. This internship can qualify for credits or extra experience and volunteer work. Good Eats is a Weekend Feeding Program at the California Elementary School that provides food items each week to students in grades K-4 who would otherwise go hungry when school is not in session. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Organize volunteers for bi-weekly meal packing by creating volunteer opportunities on OrgSync
• Attend each bi-weekly meal packing
• Approve volunteers’ hours on OrgSync after every meal pack
• Work with California Elementary School for the packing
• Pickup inventory from food bank
• Update inventory sheet after every food bank pickup, and after every meal pack
• Help with office duties:
  • Assist students who use the CalU Cupboard
  • Attend weekly meetings

 

Skills:

·         Passionate about helping local children

·         Ability to work well with others

·         Responsible

 

Requirements:

·         Valid Driver’s License

·         Available to work on Thursday’s from 3pm – 5pm
