Sent: 7/12/2018 10:14:45 AM To: Students We will be hiring one Graduate Assistant (GA) to begin in the 2018-19 school year and continue in the future. The position requires the GA to be physically present in the Scheduling Center.
The Scheduling Center coordinates schedule development for incoming and existing students, assist students in understanding general education requirements, monitors successful completion of academic coursework, and assists all exploratory studies majors.
Below is a brief overview of primary responsibilities and tasks:
Ability to answer general Scheduling Center questions in regards to VIP, Degree Works and D2L
Participate and assist Academic Counselors with New Student Orientation
Provide additional assistance to the Academic Counselors during high volume times such as registration and the add/drop period
Execute special projects
Attend Scheduling Center campus events
Assist students with usage of Starfish Kiosk
Manage Radius Live Chat
Organize communications for Scheduling Center Social Media Accounts, posting weekly updates
Investigate, research, analyze and provide reports on various student success initiatives The position is typically 24-30 hours per week, during office hours of 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. Some weekend work will be required, with advance notice.
