California University’s TRIO Upward Bound Program is seeking tutors to assist with weekly after school sessions held at the program’s target high schools in Fayette, Greene, and Washington Counties. Applicants should possess tutoring skills and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of area high school students. Tutoring sessions are held for 2 hours each week at the following school districts: Albert Gallatin, Brownsville, California, Carmichaels, Connellsville, Jefferson-Morgan, Laurel Highlands, Uniontown, and Waynesburg. After school sessions will be held Monday through Thursday on various dates depending on the school district between the hours of 2:15 and 4:50pm.
Tutors must have reliable transportation and will be paid $10/hr. All majors can apply, but there is a strong need for math and science assistance during the academic year. This is not classified as a work study position.
