Did you know that you can refer a student to several academic departments and offices on campus? These referrals include offices such as, financial aid, library, bursar’s office, academic success, scheduling center, and the reading and writing clinic. There are a number of other offices you can make referrals to as well. Just follow these easy instructions:
-Log into Starfish, via VIP
-Click on the 3 lines next to the word Starfish in the upper left corner of home page
-Type the student’s name or CWID in the search bar
-Once the student is found, check the box next to the student’s name.
-Go to top of page and click gray “referral” button
-Choose the appropriate referral type
-Choose course context
-Add comments (if applicable)
-Click SAVE
The student, along with the contact in the department you are referring to, will then receive a notification that a referral has been made.
