Poverty Simulation On Campus
The Center for Volunteer Programs and Service Learning is hosting a Poverty Simulation in the Performance Center on Monday, November 12th. Registration will begin at 4:30pm and the event will run from 5pm – 6:30pm.
The Poverty Simulation is a powerful event where participants are given a mock identity representing a member of a family living in poverty. The simulation puts you through a month of poverty faced with hard decisions and real life scenarios. This experience is equally educational as it is eye-opening.
The Poverty Simulation will be the first event of our Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, running from Monday, November 12th through Friday, November 16th. Check the CalU Volunteer blog for a detailed description of the week’s events. Questions can be directed to VPSL at volunteer@calu.edu.
