“All New” My Mediasite-Video Management and Presentation Creation Solution

What is Mediasite? Mediasite Video Platform is the most automated and scalable system for creating, publishing, searching and managing all of your video. It lets you focus on the bigger picture – transforming education, accelerating training, personalizing communications and amplifying your organization’s knowledge. We will explore the D2L (Brightspace) integration of the My Mediasite solution which will included accessing My Mediasite from within D2L (Brightspace), uploading existing video content, creating content with the Mediasite Desktop Recorder (MDR) as well as adding My Mediasite presentation using the Insert Stuff feature within D2L (Brightspace). In addition, during the session we will explore the My Mediasite portal features and functions.

Prepare to Teach Online: Tips for Course Development

Now more than ever, technology is playing a large role in how undergraduate and graduate students are educated. The goal of our presentation is to assist educators in developing and organizing content into an effective online teaching format. Topics include basic course components in an online platform, creating a welcoming environment, online teaching strategies, student engagement and assessment methods in the online environment.

Updated Video Assignments Features in D2L

An integrated video assessment tool by YouSeeU. Learn how to use the Video Assignments feature to deliver structured, video-based assessments that evaluate learners on speeches, presentations, and more. Assignments are linked within your Content area and feature time-stamped instructor and peer feedback capabilities. The Video Assignments interface has been refreshed as of Summer 2018 and these changes will also be covered.

Making narrated PowerPoint videos and inserting them into D2L

Learn how to convert your PowerPoint presentation slides into instructional videos. Discover how easy it is to add voice narration to your PowerPoint slides. After making these instructional videos, add them into your D2L course. By using the new “My Mediasite” feature that is now in D2L, instructors easily place these videos into their courses and they can also view video analysis of who and how long students watched the videos.

Getting Started with Microsoft Office 365’s Forms

What is Microsoft Forms? It is a cloud-based application that is part of our Microsoft Office 365 subscription. You can create surveys, quizzes, and polls, and easily see results as they come in. When you create a quiz or form, you can invite others to respond to it using any web browser, even on mobile devices. As results are submitted, you can use built-in analytics to evaluate responses. Form data, such as quiz results, can be easily exported to Excel for additional analysis or grading.
