University Housing has a Work Study Position for you today!

Attention Undergraduate Students:

University Housing is currently looking for work study applicants to become Residence Hall Desk Assistants. The Desk Assistant is an important member of the University Housing student staff at Cal U and is an integral part of the total residence life team in the on campus residence halls. Because residence hall entrance desks are generally staffed 24 hours a day, the Desk Assistant performs a wide variety of vital functions, without which the residence halls could not operate smoothly, effectively and securely. Everything you do as a Desk Assistant has a direct impact on the wellbeing of residents and is instrumental in meeting student needs. As student employees responsible for monitoring entrance into university property, you are a designated Campus Security Authority (CSA), required to attend annual training and report any crimes of which you become aware. Duties of the Desk Assistant include:

·        Be the first person that guests and residents see when entering the halls.

·        Be visible to the public at all times while working.

·        Interact with people as they enter and exit the halls.

·        Act as a Campus Security Authority (CSA), as defined by The Clery Act (34 CFR 668.46).

·        Act and perform responsibilities consistently with the university core values of integrity, civility and responsibility.

If you are interested, please stop in the University Housing office in Residence Hall B, Room 117 to start your new position today!

Thank you,

University Housing
