BIO 201 Survey of Biotechnology will be offered online this summer (Second session: July 8 - August 9).
The course will introduce you to the field of biotechnology, giving an overview of the methods used to create products and/or solve problems using biotechnology in medicine, agriculture, industry, forensics, and environmental science. The ethical, social, and economic issues surrounding the use of biotechnologies will be explored, as will their impact on industry, society, and the environment.
This course is a General Education Technological Literacy Course.
