The Office of Institutional Research and Planning is seeking a graduate assistant to perform fundamental functions under the direction of the Institutional Researcher beginning in the Fall 2019.
Statement of Duties:
- Gather relevant information to respond to national surveys (e.g., U.S. News & World Report survey, College Board survey, etc)
- Assist in quantitative and qualitative data collection for select reporting
- Assist in data requests from departments to provide data for the Middle States accreditation
- Respond to simple ad hoc requests
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and high accuracy in reporting information
- Develop dashboards to visually convey statistical information
Schedule:
- 200 hours for Fall 2019 semester (13 hours per week)
- Hours must be completed in the office of Old Main 207/208
- Hours will be scheduled Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a CalU graduate level program with at least 6 credits per term
- Advanced skills in using Excel and SPSS, SAS or other statistical packages
- Organizational skills and strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
