Invitation for interested professionals to submit a proposal
to present a 1-hour session at the
2020 Addictions Conference - Innovations in Prevention

Cal U departments of Counselor Education and Social Work were recently awarded a $1.322 million grant from the Health Resources and Services administration (HRSA) Opioid Workforce Expansion program. Through this program, an Addictions Conference will be hosted annually through 2022.

This year's conference theme, "Innovations in Prevention", will be held on April 20, 2020 at the Cal U Convocation Center from 9 am to 4 pm - look for the registration announcement to follow soon.

Proposals must include:
  • Focus on addictions including, ideas, innovations, interdisciplinary collaboration, integrated care, triumphs, challenges, and/or building workforce capacity to meet the needs of rural and/or medically underserved populations
  • Title of Session
  • Session Description (500 word maximum)
  • Brochure Description (50 word maximum)
  • 3-5 Learning Objectives
  • Presenter(s) Resume/CVs
  • Please note that preference will be given to proposals that are delivered via an interprofessional team
