Your Cal U Email authentication for your phone is changing.

There are 2 types of Authentication that can be used for checking email on a phone – Modern and Legacy Auth. Due to security reasons, Modern is what you want to use and Legacy Auth will soon be disabled.

If your phone stops checking email, you likely will need to switch it to use Modern Authentication using the guides below.

iPhone: There are 2 ways to set up the native iPhone email app: Manually and Automatically by clicking Sign In. Choosing Manually gets you Legacy Auth. Choosing Sign in gets you Modern Auth (which you want). Choosing Sign In is also easier in that you supply your username and password and it takes care of most of the setup for you! So if you have an iPhone, this is how you want to set it up.

If you already set your email account up Manually, you just have to delete your account and re-add it with Sign In.

Also, downloading and using the Outlook App is another option to get Modern Auth. You'd then need to remove your old mail account.

Android: Typically the Email Client that's built in doesn't support Modern Auth, so the easiest fix is to download the Outlook App and remove your email account from the old mail app.
