Over the upcoming weeks, University Technology Services will roll out a new feature - Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) that will make your Student E-mail/Office 365 Account more secure. This means that we add an extra verification step to make sure that you are who you say you are! This will help to cut down on phishing e-mails that try to steal your credentials (username/password) or money.

After you register, you will be able to add a safe and secure two-step verification method for your online credentials from a range of authentication options (such as mobile app notification, phone call, or text message) to access your email and other Microsoft applications. (Mobile App Notification is the recommended method.)

Note: You can check 'Remember Me' to allow your device to be remembered for 30 days.

MFA authentication will be enabled and legacy authentication will be disabled on your account according to the following schedule based on email address:

·       June 29: Email addresses beginning with the letters A-F
·       July 6: Letters G-L
·       July 13: Letters M-R
·       July 20: Letters S-Z

Pre-Registration: You can pre-register or update your MFA verification method by going to: https://aka.ms/mfasetup
