Cal U students and employees may use the computer workstations in Manderino Library from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday. Hours may change depending on usage; please check the library website before your visit. Occupancy will be limited to 75 people (including library staff).
To mitigate risk to our campus community, these rules will be in effect:
1. All patrons must check in immediately upon entering the library. Library staff will conduct temperature checks using contactless thermometers; patrons who are fever-free (temperature below 100.4 degrees) will be instructed to sign in using Starfish. This will allow Cal U to support contact tracing if a positive case of COVID-19 is reported.
2. All library patrons must follow Health Department guidelines: You must wear a mask or face covering at all times and keep at least 6 feet way from others. (Students who are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons should contact the Office for Students with Disabilities at OSDmail@calu.edu.)
3. Patron access will be limited to the library’s first floor, where computer workstations are at least 6 feet apart. Patrons are not permitted to gather in groups.
4. Sanitation stations with disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer will be prominently displayed on the first floor. Patrons should wipe down the tabletop, keyboard and computer mouse before use.
5. Patrons may bring their own filled water bottled, but no other food or drink is permitted in the library. Restrooms will be open and cleaned regularly. Water fountains will be turned off.
6. All library patrons (Cal U students, faculty and staff) must use Starfish to sign out before they depart. Again, this is essential to support contact tracing.
7. In addition to facilitating computer/internet access, our library staff will continue to offer curbside pickup of books and other loanable items.
