VULCAN LEARNING COMMONS (VLC) TUTORING OPTIONS
The VLC (https://www.calu.edu/inside/student-resources/vlc.aspx) offers Cal U students several free tutoring options. VLC peer assistants work with Cal U students on reading, writing, speaking, and course-specific content; synchronous and asynchronous online tutoring are available by appointments via WCOnline (https://calu.mywconline.com). Supplemental Instruction (SI) is also offered as a support to some Courses. The VLC also makes available free to Cal U students tutoring from SMARTHINKING, an outside contracted online tutoring company who use their own professional tutors. This workshop describes in a hands-on manner how to use any or all of these options.
