California University of Pennsylvania Office of Military & Veterans Affairs

& American Legion Post 377 Partnership

Several years ago the John F. Kennedy California American Legion Post 377 closed their doors. While the “Post” remained active, many members transferred membership to other local American Legion Posts. The historic JFK Post 377's charter was almost removed. In September 2020, the Department of Pennsylvania American Legion leadership, the District Commander of the 25th District (Washington County), and Cal U’s Director of Military & Veterans Affairs met with to develope a plan to revitalize the California, Pa American Legion.

We are seeking your help to rebuild our membership!

Since the 1960’s, hundreds of Cal U students, faculty and staff have been involved with Post 377 in California. While Post 377 will begin operating as a “paper post,” membership is critical to keeping the original charter of the 100-year old Post 377.

A reorganization meeting is being planned for the beginning of the spring 2021 semester.

If you are interested in joining California University’s Post 377, please contact veterans@calu.edu or join online: www.legion.org/join. Dues are annual and there is an option to join as a “Paid Up For Life” member. Additional leadership positions are available through Post 377 and through the 25th District (Washington County). We are seeking Cal U campus and online student Veterans, military members, faculty, staff, administrators and members of the local community.
