Need a Humanities, Social Sciences, or Ethics & Multicultural Emphasis class?

MWF 12-12:50pm, Soc 225 - Sociology of Aging (CRN: 10580) 

Topics will include how aging is viewed in different cultures, generational influences on individuals' worldviews and social impacts, intersectional experiences with aging, and the U.S. income security programs and health care policy. Additionally, students will discuss how COVID-19 impacted our society regarding experiences with aging in different social groups. The final project for the course will be focused on using the course information to create a realistic plan to share relevant information with an audience of their choice. 


TR 2pm-3:15, Soc 325 - Sociology of the Family (CRN: 10586) 

In this class students will explore the diversity of family types, experiences, and sociological perspectives on how families function and adapt to changes in societies. This class will include class discussion of the textbook materials, current events, and analysis of media examples that reflect course concepts. The final project for the class will be focused on applying course materials and concepts to students' individual career choices.
