California University’s TRIO Upward Bound Program is seeking tutors to assist with weekly after school sessions held virtually via zoom. Applicants should possess tutoring skills and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of area high school students. Tutoring sessions are held for 1.5 hours each day for the following school districts along with 2 hours of tutoring office hours each week: Albert Gallatin, Brownsville, California, Carmichaels, Connellsville, Jefferson-Morgan, Laurel Highlands, Uniontown, and Waynesburg. After school sessions will be held Monday through Thursday on various dates depending on the school district between the hours of 4:00pm and 5:30pm. Tutors will be paid $12/hr. All majors can apply, but there is a strong need for math and science assistance during the academic year. Preference is for tutors to be at sophomore academic standing, or higher.
