Light Box Therapy Program for Enrolled Students with SAD

“This time of year I always tend to feel a little blah and sometimes I wonder if I might be depressed.”  For some people, winter doldrums can turn into Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Bright light therapy, in combination with behavioral strategies, could be helpful.

According to those in the know, including the professionals at Mayo Clinic, bright light therapy can help combat against problems such as, low energy, irritability, and difficulty with concentration, trouble sleeping, carb cravings, and those seasonal blahs.

After a successful program in spring 2012, the Wellness Center will once again offer Light Box Therapy. The program will be available this fall beginning in October through December 7. Is Cal U’s Light Box Therapy program a good idea for you?
