California University’s Police Department and the District Attorney’s office of Washington County have worked together to obtain a “Drug Take Back Box” to collect any unwanted and/or unused prescription medications in addition to over the counter medications that you may want to discard of safely.  This secured box is located in the Pollock Building Main Level of Public Safety. 

The stipulations for disposing medications are as follows:

1)    Medications can be placed in the box anonymously

2)    Medications should remain in their original containers.  Personal information on the labels should be crossed out, but information about the medication should be eligible

3)    Syringes should NOT be placed in the box

4)    Containers of liquid will not be accepted unless they are completely sealed (opened containers will NOT be accepted)
