Gloomy weather getting you down?  Find out about LBT for SAD.

“This time of year I often feel a little blah and sometimes I wonder if I might be depressed.”  For some people, winter doldrums can turn into Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Bright light therapy, in combination with behavioral strategies, could be helpful.

According to those in the know, including the professionals at Mayo Clinic, bright light therapy can help combat against problems such as, low energy, irritability, and difficulty with concentration, trouble sleeping, carb cravings, and those seasonal blahs.

After a successful program, the Wellness Center will once again offer Light Box Therapy to enrolled students with SAD. The program will be available this spring beginning this month through April 4. Is Cal U’s Light Box Therapy program a good idea for you? Call 724-938-4056, leave a message for Rueben or Mary Ann and be sure to mention that you are interested in Light Box Therapy
