The End Violence (End V) Center is the unit on campus dedicated to the prevention of all forms of power-based personal violence, including sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. We believe that the reduction of violence requires a cultural shift that can only be accomplished if a critical mass of individuals embraces the core values of civility, integrity, and responsibility and be guided by the Bill of Rights of Responsibilities. This requires each CalU member to take responsibility for the safety and security of our community

The End V (Violence) Center provides a Victim Advocate that is available 24/7 to students who have experienced sexual assault, dating/domestic violence and/or stalking. The on-call advocate provides crisis intervention and risk assessment, hospital accompaniment, safety planning and emergency accommodations.  The Center also provides services on an individual and group basis. The advocate empowers students through reinforcing their autonomy and self-determination. Students work to clarify issues and solve problems, make informed decisions, practice self-care, and work to increase self-esteem and self-awareness. Additionally, the advocate provides information and accompaniment to the survivor during the medical, investigative, and judicial processes; and facilitates accommodation requests (academic, housing, transportation, work).

The End Violence Center’s primary prevention strategy, “Green Dot”, is built on a foundation of theory, research, and data.  Green Dot” symbolizes a single moment in time that can be used to end perpetration and support victims of violence while increasing campus safety for all its members.  The “Green Dot” prevention education program includes an interactive exercise created to equip targeted participants with the necessary connection, knowledge and skills to increase their proactive and reactive bystander behaviors.
