NEW!!! Trauma Informed Care Certificate!!

Trauma can have serious impacts on behavioral health, mental health, work and school as well as overall health and well-being. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (2019) trauma is highly prevalent and can affect individuals, families, groups and communities over one’s lifetime; Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) is a “promising model for organizational change in health, behavioral health, and other settings that promotes resilience in staff and patients.” This certificate combines the discipline specific approaches to Trauma-Informed Care of both psychology and social work to provide undergraduate students with a well-rounded generalist approach to introductory methods of providing TIC.
