Featured Live Presentations

Wednesday, April 21, 2021

Join us for the 2021 Strike a Spark Conference! This online event showcases our students as they continue to engage in research, scholarship, and creative expression in a changing environment. Presentations from all disciplines are welcome.

Students: Presenting at the Conference is easy! Submit a brief summary (200 words or less) of the work you want to present. Aim to interest conference participants in your presentation. Present work from an individual project, class project, capstone experience or senior/graduate thesis. This can include joint student-faculty presentations

You can submit in four categories:

Faculty: submit an abstract that covers multiple students in a course, where posters, oral presentations, or creative works are developed in class assignments. Proposals for panel sessions are also accepted.

How to present: record and upload a video of your presentation that will be available for viewing on the Strike a Spark website throughout the Conference. Limited spots for live presentations are also available.

Live sessions will occur on April 21st, with presenters and attendees taking part remotely.

Guides, examples, and the submission form are available at www.calu.edu/strikeaspark

Proposals are due by midnight, Monday, April 5th and videos by midnight, April 12th. Questions can be directed to Louise Nicholson (nicholson@calu.edu) or Azi Block (block@calu.edu
