Nominations for Student Representative for
The President’s Advisors on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
There is an opening for a student representative to sit on the President’s Advisors on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. We are accepting self-nominations and nominations from faculty, staff and students. The President’s Advisors on DEI meets monthly. The chart of the Commission is the following:
· Conduct a bi-annual campus climate survey and communicate the results to the campus community.
· Work with the CDEIO to provide strategic direction, guidance, and recommendations to the President's Cabinet through attending regularly scheduled meetings.
· Work with the CDEIO to advise the President and Cabinet on DEI institutional goals, activities, and metrics.
· Drive DEI communications and partner across the university on crises and incident response communications.
· Create a sense of community across various university-wide and local groups.
· Work with the CDEIO to convene and organize key university wide gatherings and meetings. Implementation of initiatives and programs continues to be done at the local level by colleges and divisions.
· Work with the CDEIO to develop a DEI strategic plan for the University
