Fall 2021 VA work-study positions

 

The Office of Military & Veterans Affairs will be accepting

applications and also conducting in-person or virtual

interviews in August.

 

In order to be eligible for the VA work-study program, you must be:

·        Enrolled at Cal U at least full-time or ¾ time (undergraduate or graduate students)

·        Receiving VA benefits under the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33), Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30), Montgomery GI Bill – Selected Reserve (Chapter 1606), Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance Program (Chapter 35), OR the Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (Chapter 31) programs.

 

Eligible students will earn an hourly wage equal to the Federal minimum wage or Pennsylvania’s minimum wage, whichever is greater. You may work up to 25 hours per week and you will be paid directly by the (federal) Department of Veterans Affairs after every 50 hours of work performed. Work is only permitted to be performed in the Office of Military & Veterans Affairs in Hall E on Cal U’s main campus. All work must be related to VA work.
