Financial Adulthood 101



What is your money attitude? How does it affect your personal financial decisions? Have you ever felt overwhelmed by managing your finances? Are you worried about student loans?” You are cordially invited to participate in a 3-part series titled “Financial Adulthood 101”, presented by Jacquie Carroll and Schane Coker, experts and educators in the field of financial counselor and financial education. Both of them are Accredited Financial Counselors (AFCs).

Presenters’ Information:

Jacquie has been helping individuals and families with educational and financial issues for over 25 years. She earned an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership, from Nova Southeastern University (2007), and is an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) since 2013. As an educator her focus has always been student/learner success. As a financial coach, she had the opportunity to combine her love of teaching & learning, research, and finances. She facilitates sharing, building, and leveraging knowledge to help individuals equalize the financial playing field with a focus on outcomes, via the application of practical strategies.

Schane is a current doctoral student in the Adult Education and Human Resource Development program at Florida International University (FIU). He also works as a military financial counselor and is certified as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) and Financial Fitness Coach (FFC). He received his Bachelors’ and Master’s degrees from Purdue University in Financial Counseling and Planning and Consumer Science with a concentration in Family and Consumer Economics, respectively. His specializes in new credit usage and rebuilding credit, education funding, and financial goal setting.
