 Dear Students, Staff and Faculty-

 We are thrilled to announce that the President's Commission on the Status of Women will honor the "Sunshine Award" in honor of the memorable character of the late Professor Melanie Blumberg's legacy of positive energy and mentorship at California University of PA.  Professor “Mel” Blumberg was known for her mentorship and positivity on campus.  She both informally and formally mentored students, staff and faculty. This award seeks to inspire a legacy of bringing “sunshine” to the California University of PA campus.  

The purpose of the award is to “shine light” on individuals serving as outstanding mentors, and who exceptionally support the hard work and accomplishments of others here at Cal U.  Their mentorship may be informal or formal in nature, and will be judged by quality, depth, breadth, and its described impact on individuals, the campus, and the broader community. Faculty, staff, students, and administrators may be nominated or apply for the award.
