President’s Commission on the Status of Women: People Who Have Made a Profound Impact for Women 

Nominations are now open.  Award recipients have demonstrated support of women and women’s issues on campus, and dedication to the university community or the community-at-large.  One award will be presented to each of the aforementioned categories.  Please note that submissions must have examples of support of women and women’s issues on campus.  Submissions not providing examples of support of women and women’s issues will not be accepted.

There are five categories for which outstanding individuals on campus may be nominated: 

· Outstanding Student of the Year Award - Undergraduate Traditional for students graduating in May 2022

· Outstanding Student of the Year Student Award - Undergraduate Nontraditional for students graduating in May 2022

· Outstanding Student of the Year Award - Graduate Student for students graduating in May 2022

· Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award

· Outstanding Staff of the Year Award

 

 DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS: Monday, March 14th, 2022

Please provide a brief explanation of why the nominee is deserving of this honor, which includes specific examples of work related to women’s issues, including:

· Support of women and women’s issues on campus (please describe specific initiatives, involvement in events, research, volunteer work, participation in organizations, etc.)

· The ways in which the nominee is successful in personal life or professional life,

· Dedication to the university community or community-at-large, and

· What sets them apart from peers

Submissions submitted after the deadline and not providing examples of the above criteria will not be accepted.
