Join us on Tuesday 3/22 from 11am to 12pm on Zoom for Role of Women in Indigenous Communities 

Dr. Confer will examine the unique role women play in many traditional Native American cultures and highlight how those strong traditions are embodied by modern women making a difference in and for their communities. 


Dr. Confer researches and teaches history and anthropology at CALU. Her publications focus on the social history of American Indian cultures and include books on Pre-Columbian Native America, 19th Century Native warfare, and the Cherokee Nation’s experience in the American Civil War.
