Summer 2022 New Student Orientation Leaders
The New Student Orientation Leader position is a student staff member focused on supporting all New Student Orientation (NSO) events. This role is ideal for students who can work effectively, both independently and as part of a team. Interested students should have a desire to assist new students and their families in creating positive experiences with the University. Those looking for a position with high responsibility and opportunities to develop their leadership abilities should apply. Training will be provided.
PAYS $10 PER HOUR
Requirements:
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
- At least 12 earned credits
- Availability to work NSO events between May-August, which include a few Saturdays (dates will be provided up front)
- Must be eligible for work-study through the Financial Aid Office
- Demonstrated communication, organizational, interpersonal and/or leadership skills
Additional skills and abilities:
- Positive attitude and image
- Knowledge of campus programs and resources
- Comfort with speaking to small or large groups
- Ability to work with a diverse group of customers
- Physical requirements will involve standing for long periods of time and lifting/moving boxes with event items. Appropriate accommodations can be made upon request.
