SAI Board of Directors

Class III Graduate Student Vacancy

 

The Student Association, Inc. is advertising for the graduate student position on the SAI Board of Directors for the remainder of the 2022-2023 academic year.

 

According to the SAI bylaws, the Class III member is:  One member who shall be a full-time fee paying* graduate student of California University of Pennsylvania, elected annually by the Board by a majority vote of the remaining Board members.

 

*Full-time fee paying:  Students paying the SAI fee equal to 9 on campus graduate credits ($185). Applicants in academic programs that confirm six credits as full-time academic status for that particular program, and those in on line graduate programs, will be required to pay the difference to become a full-SAI-fee-paying graduate student if elected to the Board.

 

Candidates must have demonstrated significant prior service to the University, are in good academic and disciplinary standing, and be able to participate in evening Board meetings.  By applying for the vacancy, you approve to permit Student Affairs to review your academic and disciplinary records.

 

Meetings:  The Student Association, Inc., Board of Directors holds regular monthly meetings during the academic year.  The schedule is established each semester to accommodate the majority of the Board member schedules.  For the spring 2023 semester, the meetings will be held on Jan. 25, Feb. 22, Mar. 29, Apr. 26, in the evenings. Special meetings may be called at the will of the President of the Student Association, Inc. Board of Directors or by a majority of the members of the Board.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS 4:00 p.m., FRIDAY, JANUARY 20.

 

Interviews for qualified applicants will be held during the next SAI Board Meeting on January 25th, at 6pm.

Eligible candidates who cannot attend the interviews on January 25th will be reviewed based on their submitted application materials.
