The 2023 Minecraft Building Competition registration is now open! It's a week-long event spanning from January 30th through the 3rd, and I'm so excited to see the builds you all come up with this year! REMINDER - REGISTRATION CLOSES ON JANUARY 28TH.

The Minecraft Building Competition of 2023 is run by Vulcan Gaming Club, at California, but is open to all students - including Clarion and Edinboro as well! To participate within this tournament and be entered in to win the prize, all users must be able to access Minecraft Bedrock Edition and have a strong internet connection. After filling out this form you will receive further instructions on how to enter the tournament via the registered email by Saturday, January 28th 5:00 PM.

This is in time for the tournament to begin in the morning of the 30th, where all contestants will learn their first topic via registered email.
Starting on the night of the 29th - or the cusp of January 30th at midnight, all contestants will receive an email detailing the build topic for that day. Contestants will then be able to log onto the server, claim their plots, and work on their creations as they see fit. That is, until 11:30 PM of January 31st, when contestants will be given a 15-minute warning, and then the server will close at 11:45 PM. After the server is shut off to contestants, the first build zone will close. After that, builders can log back on to the server at 12:00 AM and begin their latest creation in a new build zone with a new topic, repeating the previous process. Old build zones cannot be revisited, but if you have any questions, please feel free to email gal2369@pennwest.edu, or look through the more info slide!

All judging will commence at the end of the week, February 4th, when judges will be live on-stream, offering build critiques for all five builds. By 11:59 PM, February 4th, scores will be released, and the winner will be announced!
The competition will be run on Bedrock, Vanilla, and Creative, with Command, Blocks Disabled, and No World Edit! The Minecraft Building Competition of 2023 is run by Vulcan Gaming Club, at California Campus but is open to all students - including Clarion and Edinboro!
