The time is finally here! The New Student Orientation (NSO) team is hiring for Summer 2023!

Orientation Leader overview:
A New Student Orientation Leader assumes a primary role as a University representative, displays exemplary leadership, and serves as an overall resource for the campus community. Due to the nature of the position, availability for New Student Orientation events is mandatory.

  Qualifications:

  • Good organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Must be in good standing with Office of Student Conduct.
  • At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • At least 12 earned credits by start of position.


 Responsibilities:

  • Attend all scheduled NSO days.
  • Attend all training sessions and scheduling meetings, unless excused in advance.
  • Assist with the preparation of orientation activities and materials.
  • Project a caring and approachable demeanor and establish positive public relations with incoming students and their families.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of academic offerings, campus resources, ways to get involved, and advice to new students and families.
  • Acquaint new students and families/guests with campus buildings and locations.
  • Promote campus traditions, programs, and resources.
  • All other duties as assigned.
