The Meteorology Club hosts its first speaker of the fall semester, Dr. Phil Klotzbach, Oct. 8 in Eberly Hall.

Klotzbach, a research scientist in the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University, will discuss aspects of the Atlantic seasonal hurricane predictions. 

He has been co-author on the CSU Atlantic basin hurricane forecasts with Dr. William Gray and is currently the lead author on the seasonal forecasts.

Klotzbach has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Climate and Weather and Forecasting.

Klotzbach earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. from Colorado State.
