Types of Financial Aid
Financial aid is federal, state, institutional and private funding to assist eligible students to finance their education. Financial aid can be a combination of scholarships, grants, work-study employment and loans. There are two basic types of financial aid — gift aid and self-help aid. Gift aid is financial aid, such as grants and scholarships that does not need to be repaid. Self-help is financial aid in the form of loans. All types of financial aid can help you pay for college.
The type of aid you are eligible to apply for depends on whether you are a current or prospective graduate, undergraduate or Global Online student.
