The Division of Student Affairs is seeking a dedicated volunteer to assist the Division of Student Affairs with our social media activity.
Intern must be flexible with schedule who can commit at least 8-10 hours each week for a minimum of 15 weeks. Position will begin in summer 2018.
The intern will:
• Create, develop and post regular content and social media campaigns based on the interests and activity of the organization to departmental social media accounts.
• Collaborate with videographers, writers, and designers on creating content.
• Monitor our social media presence and benchmark that of our colleagues.
• Stay abreast of news, developments, and best practices in the realm of social media.
• Develop a social media strategy, including analytics and metrics to measure our social media progress as well as any necessary course corrections.
• Assist in growing affinity groups through social media.
• Develop relationships with affinity groups.
Qualifications:
• Familiarity with social media best practices.
• Familiarity with Photoshop or other image editing software or apps.
• Ability to remain professional in a public forum.
• Strong writing skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Background in branding, marketing, promotions, and/or communication is preferred.
