A Graduate Assistant position is available to a graduate student who wishes to assist in a variety of tasks related to managing and promoting the Global Online programs in Computer Information Systems and general assistance to the Global Online Coordinator and the CIS faculty in the program.
Duties can include assisting in student outreach, collecting transfer fair information and working with faculty to schedule visits, tracking of student schedules, registration status and results, maintenance of program promotional items, and other general assistance as may arise.
The applicant should exhibit exceptional attention to detail and precision. Other important skills needed are:
excellent time management skills
mastery in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – both written and oral
creativity and ability to work independently
reliability and honesty
attention to detail
flexible and adaptable to change
Applicants with more than one semester remaining are preferred.
The position will have 300 hours in fall/spring semesters and 200 hours in summer semesters.
