Jennie Carter Day of Service
While honoring Jennie Carter’s birthday on Tuesday, October 9th, join the Center for Volunteer Programs and Service Learning as we spread cheer to local children for Beverly’s Birthdays. Beverly’s Birthdays is an organization that provides birthday celebrations for homeless and low income children in the Pittsburgh region.
On Tuesday, October 9th from 5:00PM to 6:30PM in the Carter Hall Multipurpose Room we will be having a birthday party with snacks, games, music, and most importantly, a service project. Come learn about Beverly’s Birthdays and Jennie Carter’s legacy at Cal U as we give back to our community.
Looking for another way to give back? Donate a Birthday-in-a-Bag!
We are asking that you donate all the necessary items for a birthday party. Items can include a cake mix, frosting, plates, cups, napkins, party hats, candles, etc. You can individually donate items or get a club, office, team, or organization involved. Please drop off your Birthday-in-a-Bag to the Center for Volunteer Programs and Service Learning in Natali Student Center Room 119 by Wednesday, October 10th at 4p.m.
