ATTN VULCAN VILLAGE RESIDENTS!
As many of you know, the power at Vulcan Village and surrounding areas is still out and we are working with West Penn Power on getting an estimated completion time for their repairs, but have received no updates as of yet. As we receive more information, we will communicate that information with the Vulcan Village community.
Please know that:
1. The Vulcan Village team will be available in the office and on property throughout the day. If you have questions or concerns, please come speak with one of the staff. You can also call one of our on-call numbers: (724) 322-8868 or (724) 970-4034. The office phones are not working due to the outage.
2. AVI has provided us with Free Coffee & Donuts in the Clubhouse now, feel free to stop down.
3. Cell phone charging stations will be available in the Clubhouse only.
4. There is no internet at this time, even in Building 6 that currently still has power.
5. The Vulcan Village Fitness Center is closed due to the outage.
6. Natali Student Center will be designated as a warming station.
7. Buses will be operating on a normal schedule
8. You are still able to use your toilet and shower. However, your hot water tank operates on electricity and once it is empty, only cold water is available for a shower. If you would like to shower, you can utilize the showers in Herron Fitness Center.
9. Flatz Express will be closed but all of the eateries on-campus will operate on their normal schedule.
As was stated in the email last night, we strongly encourage you to:
1. Remain Calm
2. Keep your refrigerator doors closed
3. Utilize flashlights if you need extra light
4. DO NOT light candles or any other open flames

We will update you on services and the status of the outage as new information arises.
Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and will provide an update once we receive more information from West Penn Power.
